Nor could his wife, Mary Barton, ever have anticipated the repercussions of her academic interest in linking women with sperm donors all those years ago.
Her husband fathered possibly hundreds of children in the course of her practical solution for male infertility.

Mary Barton could have anticipated the problems if she was acquainted with Scripture.  Sarai could have filled her in on what happens when you try to get children outside of God's plan for your life. (Genesis 16)
